今時今日, Paul Oakenfold仍是百大DJ排行中名列前茅的常客, 而大多數人對他所留下的印象, 可能就只是一位名氣很大的Superstar Trance DJ那麼簡單.

但對我來說, Paul Oakenfold除了是自己音樂/DJ生涯中第一位深入接觸到的超級DJ之外, 印象更深刻的是他在Trance領域以外對其他音樂類型的廣泛涉獵, 不要忘記早在1990年時他曾連同Steve osborne 為Happy Mondays經典專輯Pills 'N' Thrills And Bellyaches擔綱製作; 而這張最新3CD單曲與混音精選Greatest Hits and Remixes: Unmixed(Limited Edition Box set)的出版, 則再次喚起腦海中的種種美好音樂印記.

除了一首首來自他個人專輯的暢銷曲以及其自家廠牌Perfecto的名曲外, 讓我重溫得意猶未盡的, 其實是過去他為一眾獨立/搖滾樂團如The Cure,Happy Mondays,The Stone Roses,U2, The Smashing Pumpkins,Mansun...等所炮製的Remix, 當然不能不提的還有他為Massive Attack,Sneaker Pimps,Olive這幾個Trip-Hop組合作嫁過.
